Introducing Edna Murdoch
Background
Edna began coaching in 1999, trained with CoachU, and graduated in 2003. She had been a practising supervisor – working with senior managers and psychotherapists – since 1991 and she knew the value of supervised practice. Before that, she enjoyed an interesting, diverse career, including time spent in Education, Careers Advisor, Stress Management Consultant, Business woman, Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor.
In 1999, she recognised the need for supervision in coaching and established the very successful Supervision-on-Call, thus pioneering the practice of supervision for coaches in the UK. Edna continued to build the core concepts and practices of CSA and in 2003, she invited Miriam Orriss and Fiona Adamson to join her and began the process of creating a supervision Diploma training for executive coaches.
Edna as a supervisor
Edna is Course Director for the ICF Approved, CSA Diploma in Coaching Supervision which is now offering courses in UK, France and Australia. Edna also runs live Coaching Supervision groups in Sussex.
She supervises Executive and Personal Coaches, Psychotherapists, and Senior Managers, both individually and in groups. She also work as a Supervisor for Coaching Companies (eg. Full Potential Group, Hanover Foundations, DBM) and for specific Coaching Groups and Coaching Projects.
Through CSA, she runs the 2-day Supervision Skills Training for peer supervision groups (for both Internal and External coaches), Advanced Training Days in London, Brighton and Bristol.
She is also a renowned speaker, and regularly gives presentations on Coaching Supervision.
