Catherine is an experienced coach, supervisor and consultant in the areas of leadership and complex change, with a passion for supporting individuals and teams to perform at their best within challenging organisational contexts. Previously an internal consultant in the Cabinet Office, Barnardo’s, NHS and Home Office, she now runs her own private practice. Her broad client portfolio includes the role of Master Coach for Frontline (a leadership programme to equip newly qualified social workers to transform the lives of vulnerable children and families); she leads a ground breaking community of practice of 20 coaches for this emotionally complex work and provides them with 1:1 and group supervision.
The supervision space Catherine offers enables a coach to reflect on their own practice, what is triggered in them through the work and how this impacts on their ability to be in the best service of the client (which may include an individual and their organisation). For internal coaches immersed in the same organisational culture as their coachees, supervision provides an essential vehicle for identifying inevitable blind spots which may be limiting their ability to effect sustained cultural change in their coachee.
Catherine’s passion for the outdoors has led her to integrate this into her practice, using the outside space to create a shift on the inside with accelerated results. This innovative approach, together with her Frontline achievements has led to her being presented with the Best Leadership Development Coaching Award, UK 2017.
Catherine believes in building openness and trust with her clients and holds herself to account for her personal values of authenticity, integrity, transparency and compassion through regular supervision.
Catherine is a Member of the Association for Coaching and Chartered Fellow of CIPD. Outside work, she enjoys walking on the South Downs and pottering in her garden.
