CSA France

CSA France

Like its counterparts in CSA’s supervision training around the world, this rigorous 1-year program centers on creating a lively professional partnership with coaches - one in which they can significantly develop their range and capabilities as a coach and supervisor and return to their work resourced and stimulated. It is highly experiential in its approach while still being supported by teaching, practice and feedback in classic and current supervision theories and models.

Celebrating our International Success:

With the Diploma first accredited in 2005, CSA's Faculty membership quickly grew and was able to offer the same Program to an international audience. We have quickly established a place in the Coaching Supervision community in France and Europe. Adapting to new research and reflecting current thinking in the sector, whilst always modelling the same ethos and high standards for learning.

In this new French spoken programme we continue the huge success of previous years, with 2024 offering an opportunity for coaches, supervisors and leaders to develop their skills and practice by becoming accredited graduates of the CSA Diploma in Coaching Supervision.

CSA is delighted to have 'Approved Provider' status with ICF and our Diploma Program has been continuously Accredited with EMCC since 2005.

What Distinguishes Our Programme

What distinguishes the CSA Diploma programme is that in addition to a thorough training in classic supervision models, students will be trained in CSA’s Full Spectrum Model of Coaching Supervision.

The Full Spectrum Model incorporates Hawkins & Shohet’s 7-eyed model of Supervision together with core teaching and practice on the Use of Self in Supervision, multi-dimensional Presence work which utilizes the seminal ideas of Sharmer/Senge et al (TheoryU), work with subtle energies , Buddhist Psychology, and quantum physics – a living, relational perspective.

There is also teaching on Coaching Psychology and on Systems Thinking. This broad range ensures that the course is both challenging and holistic. Personal Development for Supervisors is foundational and attention is paid to bringing mature reflective practitioners into the profession.

Anne Berthelin

Programme Leader CSA France

Anne Berthelin has been a coach since 2006. She is also a Gestalt-therapist, trainer and supervisor. She uses her professional experience, initially built up over 15 years in the world of international finance and software publishers, in large companies, an SME and a start-up, in France and abroad (5 years in London in the City and 6 months in Singapore) in sales director and management roles. These years in an ever-changing and increasingly complex world convinced her of the importance of supporting and caring for those who support and care for others".

Supervision is precisely the time to breathe, to take a step back to gather yourself and reflect, to take a step aside and explore new options. She pays extra attention to the body dimension and the alignment of the head, heart, body and spirit. She is accredited EMCC EIA and ESIA and by PSF.

Jean-François Thiriet

Programme Leader CSA France

Jean François Thiriet has been a coach since 2005, enhancing his career with skills in mediation, facilitation, and as a speaker and author. His professional journey began in the field of mental health, where he worked as a specialized nurse for nearly a decade.

His transition to coaching and supervision naturally built on his healthcare experience, recognizing the critical importance of caring for those who care for others. For him, supervision is an essential space where leaders and managers can breathe, take a step back, and explore new perspectives for more conscious and balanced service.

Jean François is also active on the international stage, participating in conferences and training sessions where he shares his expertise with a global audience, continuing to learn and adapt in an ever-evolving world.

Superviser de Coeur à Coeur

Anne Berthelin and Jean François were part of the author team that published French book « Superviser de coeur à coeur » (Heart to Heart Supervision) that came out in 2023.

This fabulous book is co-authored by no less than 6 CSA Supervisors! - Anne Berthelin, Elaine Patterson, Agathe Potel, Kathryn Prentice, Jean-Francois Thiriet and Pascale Venara.

Written in French and beautifully illustrated, the book offers hope and inspiration for supervisors, coaches, and facilitators seeking to make a positive impact in their practice and the world around them.
